A railway bridge on the old Princetown railway at Dartmoor

Kings Tor Dartmoor

It was a fine spring day recently when we walked from Princetown to Kings Tor along the old railway line. There were a good number of wild campers taking advantage of the nice weather, we watched them scramble up to the top of Kings Tor with everything on their backs. I remember waking up at home the next morning to a hard frost, my thoughts went straight to those campers. I hope they were warm.

It is a very pleasant and fairly level walk. Just for interest I got the brilliant Organic Maps to record our track – 5.6 miles from the car park to Kings Tor and back. I write these walk posts mainly as a reminder to myself, if you find them useful then that is even better. For some reason I didn’t take any other photos. I will next time.
